Allen Jordan Laity
The function of the Allen Jordan Laymen's
Movement is to serve the Cornerstone Baptist Church and
our community wherever needed. To the glory of God,
no job is too great or too small for a laymen to tackle. A
laymen would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of the
Lord than to dwell in the tents of the wicked. We
serve our community as humanitarians to our fellow
citizens. Our own Dr. A.C. Curry, who while in
Africa helping to put a roof on a house removed his shoes
to give to a brother who had no shoes.

Missionary Society
The Missionary Society is a group
that reaches out its hands from churches to people in
cities, towns, villages, and other countries.
It is a soul-winning agency.
The Missionary Society calls people to pray in
family worship, in private devotions and groups, praying
for a lost world. The
Missionary Society provides the opportunity to:
| 1. |
Obey
Christ's commission to all Christians. "Go
Ye" |
|
|
| 2. |
Pray
united with a constant reminder of the power in
prayer.
|
|
|
| 3. |
Spread
the message of Kingdom building.

Wheel For Christ
Reconizing the inability of
seniors to attend church services due to lack of transportation,
the Business and Professional Woman of the Missionary Society
engaged the services of a cab company to pick up a designated
number of seniors on Communion Sunday for a fee of $3.00
per person, that was underwritten by the B&P W
The number of persons requiring
service accelerated to the point that it became necessary to
plan on a larger scale to accommodate them.
